Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. I'm looking for a particular resort or specific dates. How do I find what I want?
A: Check on the page for the State of interest. All available condos and dates are shown. You may also contact us and we will do our best to locate a condo for you. But, as most timeshare owners reserve their use time a year in advance, if you are looking on short notice for high season time, it's doubtful we'll be able to help. In the off season, we can often find weeks or partial weeks.
2. I found something I want. Now what?
A. We make it easy to pay. Simply click on the "Buy Now" button below the condo week you want. This takes you to a payment page, where you can securely enter your credit card or debit card information. You will notice this payment option is affiliated with PayPal (an eBay company). You don't have to be a PayPal member to use it. But, if you are a PayPal member, you have the option to pay using your account.
If you wish to pay with a personal check, please contact us. While we generally will not accept checks, we will consider this form of payment if you have no other options, and if the rental is more than 30 days out.
3. Tell me about the prices.
A. We set an asking price based upon the quality and desirability of the condo. In most cases, the price you see is the total price. We offer discounts of 20 to 70 percent off the resort rack rates, so you will always save money renting with us. Note that unlike resort rates, our rates already include any hotel occupancy sales taxes, cleaning fees, deposits, and the like, unless otherwise noted.
4. What is the source of your rental inventory?
A. We own timeshares, timeshare credits, and club points, and we use these ownerships to reserve condos to rent.
5. How will I get my confirmation?
A. In most cases, a confirmation will be sent to your email. It can take a day or two for the resort to add you as our guests. We will keep you informed.
6. What is your payment and cancellation policy?
A. Full payment is due when you reserve your condo. We accept credit card payments to our PayPal account (you do not have to be a PayPal member). Please use the payment button for your selected condo.
Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- Worldmark and Shell Vacations Club condos, 181 days or more prior to arrival date, full refund less 10% handling fee (to cover our expenses to handle payments and make/cancel reservations)
- Worldmark and Shell Vacations Club condos, 91 to 180 days prior to arrival date, full refund less 25% handling fee
- All other condos, and Worldmark and Shell Vacations Club condos 90 days or less prior to arrival date, no refunds.
Please note: Our cancellation policy takes precedence, and may be more restrictive than/not the same as, the resort's cancellation policy, which may be stated somewhere on your confirmation.
At any time before arrival, we will gladly assign a different guest to any condo at no charge to you. This allows you to find someone else to use the condo (we suggest you advertise it for rent on Craigslist or eBay).
7. Will I be required to attend one of those annoying timeshare presentations?
A. No! Really ... NO! This is not a promotional program. I own these timeshares. You are my guest. You will enjoy the same amenities and privileges I would as the owner. Please consider the timeshare your home away from home--just with more amenities.
However, when you check in, you may be asked to "take a tour," because many timeshares are still "selling." Remember, it is entirely your choice whether you want to tour. My recommendation is, don't. Enjoy your vacation, don't waste time listening to a sales pitch for this lovely, but overpriced product.
This is not to say our timeshares aren't wonderful places to stay--they are! But take my advice -- don't spend $20,000 for a timeshare week when you can buy one elsewhere for a WHOLE LOT less. Finally, if after your stay you find that you REALLY liked the timeshare, let me know and I'll be happy to advise you how and where to get your own for 70-99% less than the developer's price.
